The English name "rosemary" originates from the Latin words "ros" (dew) and "marinus" (of the sea), and it is said to have been named "Sea's Dewdrop" from the shape and color of its flowers. Since ancient Greek times in Europe, there has been a custom of gifting rosemary for celebrations such as weddings, which has led to its flower meanings including "chastity," "fidelity," "unfading love," and "remembrance." "Remembrance" and "You revive me" are said to stem from the belief that "Rosemary" enhances memory. We envisioned "Rosemary," a herb perfect for celebrations, as an accessory. Combining three "Rosemary" flowers crafted with dip art and their long, needle-like leaves, we attached transparent drop beads, inspired by the origin of the name "Sea's Dewdrop."
