A stew bowl with a deep light blue glaze / Also great for noodles and rice bowls

Red clay gives off the roughness and warmth characteristic of pottery. This light blue glaze has an appealing glossy texture and a rich, warm color. I created a stew bowl that combines these two elements. I thought about adding a handle to make it a cute dish, but I decided to go for a simple shape so that it can be used not only for stews and soups, but also for Japanese-style dishes such as noodles like udon and soba, and rice bowls. The cute, plump, round shape is reminiscent of a wooden stew bowl. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. The plump, rounded shape, rough texture, and slight weight give it a ceramic feel. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique expression, and you can enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand. The item you receive will be the same as the product image. To avoid damaging your table as much as possible, the contact surface will be sanded down before delivery. Using various glazes and clays, I create a wide variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, searching for the best combinations. It is impossible to create two identical pieces, so although they may look similar, each piece is unique. I would be very happy if you could find your favorite.
