This is a double-strand necklace made of old Indian Silver top, ancient crystal, Mizoram carnelian, round Roman glass, and white and emerald blue beads.
The top is antique Indian Silver, made in the 19th or early 20th century.
I think that by wearing it a lot, a unique shine will emerge.
I think it is Mother Hoimata, who is in charge of household safety and is a symbol of maternal love. (Probably...)
The worn look of this top gives it a unique character. The leaf-like shape is also cute!
(Top size: 1.9cm length x 1.4cm width, including the loop.)
The small bell next to the top is from the Kuchi people. It was used as an ornament and is an antique. (It does not make any sound.)
The plump Silver beads on the side of the top are very rare old Chin Silver. They are heirlooms from the 18th to 19th centuries. They came from Burma.
These were used by Chin women to make necklaces and other items, and show a unique look of wear and tear and lovely scratches.
The weight and presence of these antique beads cannot be compared to modern Silver(although there are some cool modern pieces as well...), and their prices have been rising in recent years.
The transparent beads are ancient crystals unearthed in Afghanistan, dating back to the Roman period about 1,500 years ago.
It has a beautifully cut shape.
There are some small scratches, but when I think about how it has aged, I find those to be quite endearing.
(Size of ancient crystal: length 0.8cm, width 0.7cm)
The orange beads are Mizoram carnelian. They are heirlooms from the eastern Indian state of Mizoram, dating back to the 18th century.
You can enjoy the glossy and beautiful orange color and gradation.
The round emerald blue beads are Roman glass, a type of glass from the Roman Empire (27 BC - 395 AD).
This is a fragment of a vase or something similar that has been polished and drilled with holes.
Beads such as emerald blue are antique beads called Indo-Pacific beads. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads is said to be in the 2nd century BC. These beads were excavated in Indonesia. They date back to the 10th century, making them over 1000 years old!
The beads are irregular in size and color, so you will never get bored of looking at them.
The white beads are old Indian seed beads.
The worn texture is the unique character of something that has been worn for many years. (19th to 20th century)
Although it has been cleaned, it will turn a porcelain-like white color as you wear it.
We hope you enjoy the changes that occur over time. (Bead size: 2-3mm)
The small charm next to the gold beads and the round Roman glass is old Odisha glass. It is an old and rare bead from Odisha, India.
The round charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
Each tiny Karen Silver bead is engraved!
It's mind-boggling to think that it's all done by hand...
The bent clasp is also made of Karen Silver.
