**Annual Ring Vintage** **1874's J.Greenebaum Denim Work Pant** **Material** Fabric: 100% Xinjiang Long Staple Cotton 9oz Selvedge Denim Buttons: Natural Corozo Nut Buttons Sewing Thread: English COATS Core Spun Thread Accessories: Full-grain top layer cowhide **Design** Inspired by the work pants patented by Greenebaum Brothers in the 1870s. There is very little information available about these classic work pants; the few surviving examples are held by collectors in Japan and the United States. Greenebaum Brothers were both garment manufacturers and competitors to Levi's. In 1874, they patented the practice of sewing a triangular leather patch onto denim pants to increase their durability. This leather reinforcement effectively prevented the corners of the pockets from tearing or becoming damaged. However, due to the superior effectiveness and practicality of Levi's copper rivet design, this time-consuming and labor-intensive leather reinforcement detail was gradually forgotten. Yet, looking back now, it adds a unique and intriguing charm. The fabric differs significantly from other denims. After multiple sample trials, we developed this unique snowflake slub denim. With a weight of 9oz, it remains breathable and comfortable even in the summer heat. The vintage and unique uneven slub texture, reminiscent of popcorn popping, combined with its granular, raised surface, makes a striking impression. Compared to conventional cotton yarn, it has a more yellowish, vintage hue, restoring the raw yet unusual texture of that era. It offers a rich layering effect, far from the monotony of ordinary jeans. As you wear and wash them, the surface slubs will naturally shed, allowing the pants to evolve into a new state, which is quite fascinating. Adorned with natural Corozo nut buttons, each meticulously hand-polished and engraved with a unique vintage pattern. We've made some modifications to the original design, incorporating our own ideas. The waistband has been widened and paired with belt loops for a more contemporary fit, and the original Parisian buckle and suspender buttons have been omitted. The wide, straight-leg cut ensures they won't cling to your legs in the summer, making them an excellent choice for those who prefer not to wear shorts. And these pants are sure to surprise you once again. **Care Instructions** These are raw denim pants, and some color fading is natural and not a quality issue. Please refrain from purchasing if this is a concern. Wash separately from light-colored garments. Hand wash or machine wash normally. Avoid prolonged soaking or direct sunlight exposure.
