I spent a lot of trips before with petroleum stoves an 1980-1990th years, some stoves brought me a problems, but most simple stoves like presented TURIST PT-1 and latest OGONJEK PT-2 were very reliable at any conditions. Economical to operate, easy to handle, with military equipment, survival, ideal for hiking, climbing, biking, fishing, hunting, trekking, trapper, for the soldiers, scouts, police, paramilitary, rallies, events, racing drivers, boaters, kayakers, sailors, natural disasters and others. ITEM'S CONDITION: NEW OLD STOCK, ASSEMBLED & ADJUSTED Presented spare parts were never used before, even sometimes you can find minor oxide areas at the brass. The item arrives tightly assembled and adjusted, original rubber seal was changed to new, made off asbestos-graphyte ("replaced-and-forgotten" type). I attached the device to the tank, added the burner and tested the device with burning (see item's photos, please) at my garage, good blue flame and good sound were received, no any flame leaks between nozzle and vaporizer. Photos of the item were taken after the test, when I disconnected it from tank and burner. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Dedicated to TOURIST PT-1 stove only, it CAN NOT BE USED with genuine Optimus 8R stoves because thread mounts are different. * Use good quality wrenches and tools when you service the stove! Original wrench is poor quality, even sometimes usable and useful at survival conditions. * Flame adjustment and cleaning system is most delicate part of the stove: if you damaged gear and rail you have very low chances to fix it, especially at outdoor conditions. * Nozzle is also delicate part, you can damage it with disassembling and assembling flame adjustment and cleaning system. * Some advanced people could break the pipe when they try to disconnect it from the tank. * Good quality seal also makes the difference. Best idea is graphite seal like at Optimus Svea or 8R stoves. Other good idea is asbestos cord + graphite, it used at a lot of different stoves before. One more idea is asbestos-grapyte or PTFE plastic. Original rubber seal is worst idea: short life and tight rotating the handle. * Be careful please with attaching the pipe to the tank: brass hex is soft, but you will need serious efforts to screw it tightly. * Do not forget to place the wick/filter into the pipe before you attached it to the tank. * Materials: brass (all main parts) and steel (priming cup and bolt). * Made in 1980s in Russia at Moscow city at Red October plant (Moscow Machine Producing Unit after the name of V.V. Chernishevskiy). NOTE: Please refer to the Instruction Manual to use and service the stove properly! In other case you'll can have the trouble with damaged stove or even with the fire! NOTE: Those parts CAN NOT be used with Optimus 8R stove even looks similar, all thread mounts are different type!
