These are asymmetrical earrings, crafted by connecting Afghan metal pieces, ethnic bells, and emerald blue beads. The round, sun-like component, the figure-eight piece adorned with floral motifs, the pretzel-shaped element, and the bells of varying sizes all hail from Afghanistan. The round component has a slightly plump form. (Size of the round component: 2cm in height, 1cm in width, including the loop.) Emerald blue Indo-Pacific beads have been incorporated. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads is said to date back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back to approximately the 10th century – over 1000 years old!
