It involves intricate cutting and shaping, followed by meticulous individual filing to adjust the interlocking mechanism, a truly labor-intensive process. The benefits of this hinge extend beyond its unique appearance. It lays perfectly flat, preventing the notebook from closing on its own due to creases. The hinge area also experiences minimal wear and tear from opening and closing. The material is a thick, 2mm-thick vegetable-tanned cowhide, renowned for its beautiful aging process. The lustrous grain is characteristic of aniline-finished leather. The Mini 6-ring size is particularly appealing for its compactness. We've made it as small as possible, so please check the dimensions to ensure it suits your needs. With a 15mm ring diameter, it comfortably holds approximately 100 sheets of specialized paper. To allow you to start using it right away, we've included 50 sheets of our personal favorite, "St-Etienne, CRICCA, SREF-G-01" 5mm graph paper. This thoughtful inclusion ensures a smooth start for newcomers and avoids waste for experienced users. You can personalize your notebook by combining it with a variety of commercially available papers, diaries, indexes, and clear pockets. For maintenance, use a small amount of delicate cream. As this item is less prone to stress than bags or shoes, the natural oils from your hands are often sufficient. In fact, be mindful of over-applying leather creams or oils.
