The ash glaze is derived from the ashes of plants grown on the same plot of land, carefully prepared to create a natural, earthy grey. The slip is applied using brushes made from dried grass, or by hand. The maker prefers to create pieces that retain the texture and color of the clay, with handmade lines and an organic atmosphere, preserving a pure strength. Each ceramic piece is handmade. Actual colors and dimensions may vary, and glaze crawling, running, or crackling are unique characteristics of the artwork. ・These tableware pieces are not suitable for use in dishwashers, microwaves, or ovens. ・Ceramics have a degree of porosity. To prevent staining from food colors, it is recommended to wash them promptly after use. Alternatively, soaking the piece in water for a few minutes before serving food can help. ・The bottoms of the pieces are often left unglazed. After washing, it is advised to air dry them upside down until completely dry before storing.
