Narasimha Vanquishes Demons, Conquers Disease A complete sacred metal alloy (Navaloha) with its original patina (Size 2x1.5 CM). The first edition under the divine presence of Lord Vishnu's avatar, presented with the book "Narasimha Vanquishes Demons." Created in 2020 (B.E. 2563) by Ajarn Lak Horathibodee. Vishnu's Avatar, the 4th Incarnation: Narasimha Narasimha Avatar (NARASIMHA AVATARA) is the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This is the first time Lord Vishnu descended during the Treta Yuga, the second epoch of our world, when human virtue had diminished to three-quarters of its former measure. The word "Narasimha Avatar" is a combination of three words: "Nara" (meaning human), "Simha" (meaning lion), and "Avatar" (meaning the descent of Vishnu to Earth in the form of half-man, half-lion). This event occurred after Hiranyaksha was slain by Lord Vishnu in his boar incarnation. His twin brother, the Rakshasa king Hiranyakashipu, then rose to power among the Asuras of the netherworld. This Rakshasa king was far more wicked than his brother. He performed severe austerities and was granted boons by Lord Brahma: He shall not be killed by any human, demigod, or animal. He shall not be killed by any weapon in the universe. He shall not be killed during the day or at night. He shall not be killed inside or outside any dwelling. Lord Brahma granted all these wishes, making Hiranyakashipu arrogant and fearless, even towards the Supreme Lord. This caused widespread suffering, compelling Lord Vishnu to incarnate as Narasimha to vanquish Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu had a son named Prahlada, a Rakshasa who was virtuous and deeply devoted to Lord Vishnu. His father's ideology was entirely contrary to his own. Hiranyakashipu loved his son dearly, cherishing him above all else. Prahlada, adhering to righteousness, tried to persuade his father to abandon his wicked ways and embrace virtue and devotion to the Lord. However, his father refused to listen, continuing to torment and oppress the celestial beings. Lord Indra, along with the other Devas, implored Lord Vishnu to intervene and defeat the evil Rakshasa, as no one else could. Lord Vishnu agreed but requested time to devise a plan. Meanwhile, Prahlada earnestly pleaded with his father to cease his torment of others. The Rakshasa king, however, remained defiant. He ordered his Brahmin Rakshasa followers to indoctrinate his son to support him, but Prahlada refused all attempts to sway him. Driven by extreme love that turned into extreme hatred, Hiranyakashipu ordered his son's death. However, all attempts to kill Prahlada failed. Hiranyakashipu then directly asked his son if Lord Vishnu truly existed. If so, he challenged, let Vishnu appear. At that very moment, the central pillar in the royal hall cracked open, and Narasimha emerged. Narasimha, the half-man, half-lion, appeared at twilight, bursting forth from the central pillar of Hiranyakashipu's hall. He seized Hiranyakashipu, dragging him to the threshold of the doorway (half inside the palace, half outside) and asked the Rakshasa king: "Are you human, demigod, or animal?" The Rakshasa replied, "Neither human, demigod, nor animal." Narasimha then asked, "Is your body now inside or outside the dwelling?" The Rakshasa answered, "Neither inside nor outside." Narasimha inquired further, "Is it day or night now?" Hiranyakashipu responded, "Neither day nor night, but twilight." Narasimha then raised his hands, displaying his claws, and asked the Rakshasa, "Are these a weapon?" The Rakshasa replied, "No." Narasimha then declared, "The boons granted by Lord Brahma are now void, and you, O Rakshasa, are beyond all divine decrees." With that, Narasimha slew the Rakshasa by tearing open his chest with his claws, killing him. Purpose In 2020 (B.E. 2563), Thailand faced the severe global pandemic of COVID-19. Concurrently, from late 2019 to early 2020, Ajarn Lak Horathibodee experienced personal illness and suffering. With deep faith in the divine, he commissioned the creation of the "Narasimha Vanquishes Demons, Conquers Disease" amulet. This was intended to bring auspiciousness, help overcome sorrow, illness, envy, black magic, ignorance, and all forms of malevolent spells. Narasimha is the 4th avatar of Lord Vishnu, incarnated to vanquish hardship, demons, deadly diseases, and all formidable calamities affecting the three worlds, according to legend. Sacred Materials Ajarn Lak Horathibodee utilized sacred materials he had collected over 15 years. These included the dregs from the crucible (kuntabao) and casting rods from the casting of sacred Buddha images, accumulated over approximately 15 years. The metal alloy was rich in silver and gold (verifiable) and was leftover material from the casting of the Somdej Thongchai sacred amulets. Consecration Ceremonies: 4 Grand Ceremonies The amulets underwent four grand consecration ceremonies, alongside the Somdej Thongchai sacred amulets (Phra Kring / Phra Chaiwat). A special Narasimha divine consecration ceremony was also held at the Horathibodee residence. The initial sacred pouring ceremony was presided over by His Eminence Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamongkol Muni (Somdet Thongchai). The four consecration ceremonies were as follows: Ceremony 1: February 15-16, 2020, at the Ubosot (Ordination Hall) of Wat Traimit Wittayaram. Ceremony 2: February 21, 2020, at the Ubosot of Wat Traimit Wittayaram. Ceremony 3: March 2, 2020, at the Ubosot of Wat Traimit Wittayaram, during the transit of Saturn (7) into a new zodiac sign. Ceremony 4: Grand Divine Consecration Ceremony, Narasimha Abhiseka, at the Horathibodee residence on Saturday, the 5th day (March 28, 2020). Special Ceremony: The "Narasimha Vanquishes Demons, Conquers Disease" amulets were included in a Guru Deva Puja ceremony on the day Jupiter (5) transited into a new zodiac sign, March 17, 2020, at the Horathibodee residence.
