First time we’ve made EE Defender pencil cap a Limited Edition with a collaboration of Thai Famous cartoonist “Wisut Ponnimit”. Wisut is an artist who is popular both in Thailand and Japan. He is an owner of HeSheIt (Katch Magazine, a day Magazine), Kwan Tai Mok, everybody everything (Thai first cartoon that published in Japan).
Wisut has designed a unique characters action of “Mamuang Chan” for fans of Grey Ray and we have selected a 8 signature colors out of “Mamuang Chan” characters to make it limited colors on “EE Defender” pencil cap. This project combined a loveliness of Mamuang Chan and coolness of Grey Ray to make this premium graded product guaranteed from Design Excellence Award 2013 (DEmark Award) and Good Design Award 2013 (G-mark) from Japan Institute of Design Promotion.

“2 CM+” Graphite Saving Pencil is the pencil with 2 cm shorter lead from the bottom of the pencil. This will allow people to use all the mineral graphite in one pencil worthily. The shortest length of the pencil that people could handle is 2 cm, and the 2cm of lead became wasted. Why we wasted pencil since it’s valuable. The main part of the pencil lead is made of graphite ore. If the consumption behavior using a pencil without appreciating still ongoing, the mineral graphite will be depleted faster.
Moreover, It will also effect industries dependent on the mineral graphite such as automotive industry. Manufacturers may need to substitute other materials to replace mineral graphite which might come up with less quality. It may cause material remains in critical condition following. This project came up from the concern that we should start caring and noticing the importance of graphite before start looking for other minerals.
