Due to the vegetable tannins within the leather, exposure to air or sunlight gradually deepens its hue. Coupled with the natural oils from your hands and daily wear, it develops a lustrous patina over time. Leather is a byproduct of the livestock industry. Consequently, farmers do not meticulously protect the animals' skin. During their lives, cattle may sustain marks from insect bites, scratches, or thorns. Free-ranging animals might bear brands, and as they grow, their skin develops natural lines and wrinkles. In cases of difficult births, a mother cow might have surgical scars. Even the process of skinning the animal for meat can result in knife marks. These marks are faithfully preserved on the leather when it is transformed into a leather product, serving as a testament to the animal's life. Therefore, this service cannot be applied to dark-colored leathers such as black or dark blue. ▴ Some products require laser engraving before production. For ready-made items, laser engraving cannot be applied, and a separate production schedule will be arranged. Please contact customer service beforehand to inquire about production timelines. 🌞 Care and Maintenance -------------------- Frequent use is the best form of maintenance. It is advisable to avoid storing leather in damp environments. If the leather accidentally gets wet, wipe it immediately with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to harden and deteriorate. Once dry, you can apply leather conditioning oil to replenish the leather's essential oils. Waterproofing spray can also be applied to the surface to protect against accidental spills and enhance surface protection. For storage or extended periods of non-use, place the leather item in an electronic dehumidifying cabinet, maintaining humidity between 50%-60% to prevent mold. Alternatively, use a sealed bag with a desiccant pack for a similar effect. Repairs and maintenance can be done at our store. Unless the damage is due to human factors, no additional repair fees will be charged. After one year, free leather maintenance services will still be provided. For repairs, a partial labor and material fee will apply. 5. Our studio prefers natural leather materials. Cowhide is not subjected to excessive processing or heavy surface coatings, so it may naturally exhibit variations in color, texture, and minor scars. If you require a flawless, pristine leather surface, this may be difficult to achieve, and we regret that we cannot accommodate requests for "perfectly clean leather." Furthermore, once personalized with engraving or laser carving, returns will not be accepted unless there was a production error.
