Variations in how the raw leather absorbs dye mean that the saturation of color will differ slightly from one product to another. This is a characteristic of genuine leather products (and not considered a defect or damage). **Characteristics of Natural Solid Wood** Wood develops its own unique grain and knots due to weather changes or other factors. Therefore, each product will have a slightly different appearance depending on the part of the wood used. During its growth, it may acquire scars from injuries or insect bites, or exhibit natural patterns that vary across different parts of the body, such as stretch marks on the belly or wrinkles on the neck.
