As I grew older, I longed for a more "civilized" life. Now, we find ourselves yearning to return to the fields and grow vegetables! Though we live in the city, true comfort is found during our monthly visits to the countryside. In grandma's garden, besides growing giant cabbages, curvy, pesticide-free eggplants, bok choy, broccoli, dragon fruit, perilla, green onions, luffa gourd... we also raised a family of cats, dogs, and grandchildren. (Recently, many kittens have been hiding in the garden's water pipes!)
