● The concept is "a wiping lacquer container that can be used every day"
When it comes to lacquer ware, many people may have the image of a daily use of lacquer ware and decorations.
However, just as porcelain is called China, lacquer ware is also called Japan, and the technique of lacquer ware is inherited in Japan, and although it was once a luxury item, it was a more familiar material.
It's a very good one, and it should be more active just by adapting it to your current lifestyle.
In order to achieve that, we actually communicated to the users, learned, and planned the product together.
Then, what kind of vessel can be used every day?
A container that can be used both as a serving plate and as a plate.
A vessel that makes you want to use it at any scene, regardless of the table or number of people.
Of course, since it is used with other tableware, it is necessary to consider the shape and color so that the lacquer ware does not float.
With that in mind, we all planned the product.
Here is the point that was completed in this way.
・ As a serving plate, the height is such that everyone can easily peck chopsticks. I'm worried about it and it's 5.5 cm.
-The edges are slightly curved so that you can get soup when using it as a plate or a plate. You can also enjoy the soup.
-By making the edges warp, it is also advantageous as a serving plate. By facing outward visually, it has an open shape and is easy to take.
-By layering vermilion and black instead of the vermilion and black of wiping lacquer, the color matches Japanese and Western tableware.
-The hill of the bowl (the leg of the bowl) has been eliminated so that it fits the dining table instead of the sitting table.
-Although there is no hill, a smooth curved dent is provided on the back side so that it can be easily touched by fingers.
If you pick up from the ideas that you want to serve,
"Stew", "meat dish", "a lot of pork soup", "pot plate", "somen in summer", "Ochazuke", "colorful raw vegetables such as salad", "simmered dish", "miso soup", "takikomi gohan", etc.
It really seems to be usable every day.
Well, if you can use it every day and use it a lot, it means that the performance of the vessel is good, but there is something more fun than that.
As you use lacquer ware, the color of the lacquer ware becomes transparent and the color becomes brighter.
It goes well with the oil of human hands, and it is said that lacquer ware is finished by the user at the end.
Therefore, I wanted to use a lot of lacquer ware every day to make it growable.
As it is lacquered, it is resistant to moisture and can be used every day without hesitation.
Delicate handling is not required as long as you avoid strong rubbing and soaking and washing.
A product created with the cooperation of many people, including the user, the creator (Kijishi and Nushi), Pint !, and Kagure-san, a joint project.
We have created a good product from the user's perspective.
** About color **
The color name of this work is "brown", but the color is created by applying red and black lacquer on top of each other. It is not a brown lacquer mixed with synthetic pigments, but two colors that have been traditionally used for a long time.
In the wiping lacquer process, the same color is usually applied in layers, but different colors are applied in layers.
When lacquer comes into contact with air, it undergoes an oxidation reaction and changes from a liquid to a solid. It is different from general drying, where the water evaporates. As it gradually hardens, it becomes transparent and the color becomes brighter. When it hardens, the change stops.
Since the same color is applied as usual, the color changes gradually brighter (lighter).
In the case of this work, in addition to the change due to transmission, the red applied underneath gradually becomes stronger. After using it for a while, I paint it so that it approaches the color of the photo on this page and calms down.
For this reason, the color of black is strong at the time of delivery, but please be assured.
