"The Bradley tactile watch is named after Bradley Snyder, a former US naval officer. He was accidentally attacked while on duty in Afghanistan in 2011, resulting in blindness. The open-minded and aggressive Bradley continued his life and was disabled in 2012. He won two golds and one Silver at the meeting. His bravery and persistence inspired us to continue to accomplish more extraordinary things.
"What time is it now?" EONE founder Kim's simple answer to his blind friends in college became the inspiration for The Bradley's products. Kim and his friends hope to create a watch suitable for visually impaired friends, so that they can know the time by "touching" them. The watch design uses two steel balls to represent the time. The surface steel ball represents the minutes, and the watch side steel ball represents the hour. The steel ball is driven by magnetic force. Even if the steel ball is accidentally shifted when touched and the watch is slightly shaken, the steel ball will return to the correct position.
After the idea and design were formed, Kim and his friends released and raised funds on Kickstarter. Once they went online, they exceeded the preset goal. Finally, they raised 600,000 US dollars in capital and received more than 4,400 orders from 65 different countries. It is Kickstarter. One of the most funded projects of the year. At present, the total global sales volume exceeds 15,000, and it has won design awards from all over the world, including:
