Down syndrome is a disease caused by chromosomal abnormalities. There are currently more than 30,000 Down syndrome babies in Taiwan, with an average of 1-2 Down syndrome babies born every week. The Down Syndrome Foundation has entered its 20th year of establishment, providing early childhood education, integrated medical care, day care, and employment services for Down syndrome patients and people with disabilities.
