〔Material characteristics〕
Vegetable tanned leather presents the original appearance of the leather and retains the traces of the animal's life, so each piece will be different. Vegetable tanned leather will gradually turn darker after being exposed to the sun. This is a natural phenomenon and also part of its charm. After continuous use, the oil produced by human touch will give the leather surface a natural luster, and the leather will have a personalized appearance due to human usage experience, which is also a process of "nurturing the leather". Basically, as long as the leather is kept away from moisture, it will not deteriorate in quality for more than a hundred years. Daily maintenance varies from person to person, and regular use is a kind of maintenance. But if you feel the leather is dry, you can buy commercially available maintenance oil and wipe it with a cotton cloth. The surface of Bluecat vegetable tanned leather products will be treated with water repellent. If it accidentally gets stained with water droplets, it must be wiped off as soon as possible to prevent penetration.
