The title "Two Cities" refers to Keelung artist Wang Jie from Taiwan and Catalan artist Gabriel. Inspired by their respective homelands, they each present 20 illustrated essays that reflect the essence of their hometowns, nourished by the distinct cultural and artistic traits of East and West.
Addressing recent discussions on regional revitalization, this book serves as a response to globalization by connecting it with local culture. Yet, this connection does not simply incorporate localities into the mainstream but actively sustains the vitality of remote areas.
