Coro Vintage Aqua Blue Clipon Earrings aquamarine 1950s signed patent pending

The pair of Coro clip-on earrings with big central stones, imitating aquamarine or blue topaz. Design is very typical for Coro jewelry from late 1940s - early 1950s period. The stones are made of glass, beautifully cut in emerald shape. This type of cutting also called «step cut» - it was one of the most favorite cuts of Adolf Katz - chief designer of Coro. Similar central stones in pink rose color could be seen in Coro Advertising from 1950: «The perfect jewel of a gift». The back sides of the stones are foiled to enhance their shining. The earrings are in vintage condition with some age appropriate wear, some patina, partial color loss, scratches on faux pearls. One of tiny side crystals is missing. Overall in wearable condition - still beautiful piece of costume jewelry. The earrings could be a valuable addition to ones collection or a gift to somebody special. This pair could be regarded as Bridal Jewelry. In American tradition, pieces of vintage jewelry with blue stones are chosen as a gift to a Bride-to-be.
