This is a two-strand necklace made of old Indian Silver top, ancient crystal, Mizoram carnelian, ancient agate, and white and Indigo blue beads.
The top part is antique Indian Silver. This was made in the 19th to early 20th century.
I think that by wearing it a lot, a unique shine will emerge.
Depicted in the centre is Bhumiyaraj, a legendary hero from Rajasthan, India, riding a horse.
(Top size: length 2cm, width 1.4cm, including the loop.)
The small bell next to the top is from the Kuchi people. It was used as an ornament and is an antique. (It does not make any sound.)
The plump Silver beads on the side of the top are very rare old Chin Silver. They are heirlooms from the 18th to 19th centuries. They came from Burma.
These were used by Chin women to make necklaces and other items, and show a unique look of wear and tear and lovely scratches.
The weight and presence of these antique beads cannot be compared to modern Silver(although there are some cool modern pieces as well...), and their prices have been rising in recent years.
The oval orange beads are carnelian, used by the Shan people (Myanmar).
The exact age is unknown, but it is a vintage that is over 50 years old.
This is a small carnelian with beautiful stripes.
(Size of vintage carnelian: length 1cm, diameter 0.6cm)
I put one small ancient agate in it. This was excavated in the Indus River basin in Pakistan and India, and is about 2000 years old.
This ancient agate has a wonderful atmosphere with its intricate stripes.
The blue beads are antique beads called Indo-Pacific beads. Indo-Pacific beads are said to have originated in the 2nd century BC. These beads were excavated in Indonesia. They date back to the 10th century, making them over 1000 years old!
The beads are irregular in size and color, so you will never get bored of looking at them.
The white beads are antique beads from Venice (19th-20th century).
These beads were made in Venice and brought to Myanmar. They have a very antique look and feel!
A single amber-colored antique white heart is added near the clasp.
The gold beads are old Odisha Brass, an old and rare bead from Odisha, India.
The round charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
Each tiny Karen Silver bead is engraved!
It's mind-boggling to think that it's all done by hand...
The bent clasp is also Silver of Karen silver.
◇Karen Silver ◇
This Silver is made by the hill tribes living in Burma.
Each piece is handmade and is said to be of very high purity.
It is connected with waxed string, so it is a little stiff at first, but it will become more flexible as you wear it.
