Kiyomizu Rokubei is the name of the founder of the Kiyomizu potter family in Kyoto, with a history of more than 240 years. The studio is now in its eighth generation and is currently led by contemporary ceramicist and sculptor Rokubei VIII. This family has an important influence on the development and survival of Kyo-yaki.
