(WEDNSY) Korean Empire - Deoksugung Jeonggwanheon Gabae Glass - Cups - Glass Green

Product Description

Life is breathed into The Noble Imperial Family, ‘Korean Empire Gabae -coffee- Glass’ Although Jeonggwanheon, the oldest modern Western style building within the palace is less known to the public, it was a resting area for Emperor Gojong to invite and entertain foreign guests and drink tea. It was a place where Gojong would have tea during the period of when the empire opened their doors and actively embraced Western culture, and at one brief period was where the portraits of the Kings were placed and at one point was temporarily opened up to civilians as a café. Jeonggwanheon is the Hoping to capture Jeonggwanheon as it is in the glass, I put in a lot of effort to keep the unique charms of Jeonggwanheon born from the mixture of East and West alive. Instead of completely exposing the entire Jeonggwanheon, we aimed to let the consumer feel like they possess it by designing it as though we transferred one of the pillars on to the glass and show the intricate patterns on it. We perfected a uniform look from glass to coaster by using acrylic material for the coaster to maintain the transparence of the glass. Enjoying Imperial grace at the comfort of your home! How about tasting a sip of the Korean Empire elegance with a glass of coffee in a Jeonggwanheon Gabae Glass? [ Deoksugung Jeonggwanheon Gabae Glass's Features ] First, we applied the commonly used stemmed glass form and reconstructed the detailed decorations on the pillars of Jeonggwanheon. Second, we engraved the symbol of the Korean Empire, the Plum tree in the middle as though it were decorated in a frame and a popular element used in Korean architecture design and the symbol of luck in the orient, bats were placed on both sides with arabesque patterns. Third, I tried to express the ambiguity that resulted from the mixing of Asian and Western boundaries through color. As a result, although they were colors traditionally frequented, by using the area of design and color of differently, I was able to complete a seemingly unfamiliar but familiar color combination. Fourth, I tried to express the class and dignity of the Imperial family with the thick gold rim on the mouth. Fifth, for a clear presentation of 9 colors, silk screening technique was used on the transferring on the glass instead of the normal printing method. You can feel the colors expressed more strongly. Compared to thermo-printing, it can be plasticized at a higher temperature which raised the quality of the product. ● Material: glass, pure gold (8%), silk-screen ● Volume: 12oz / 330㎖ ● Size: diameter 70 × height 198㎜ ● Country of manufacture: Republic of Korea (glass material: Italy) https://wednsy.wisacdn.com/_data/attach/202211/21/937d167235bbf51b6ca6962964fba0a2.jpg https://wednsy.wisacdn.com/_data/attach/202211/21/9f2037732a6bc413273d8b54ff0de105.jpg
