Tea strainer made from wild green bamboo
Yangga Studio cooperates with local craft organizations in Laos
It is purely hand-woven without the use of chemical substances such as bleach, preservatives, and varnish. Its shoulder pole-shaped design is quite interesting.
Whether you place it in a mug or any other container, you can easily enjoy a cup of good tea again and again by adding hot water.
Yangga Studio collaborates with local craft organizations in Laos to create many practical and simple living fabrics by connecting traditional Laotian tableware and daily utensils with the needs of modern Taiwanese life.
Taking into account the friendly cycle between the environment and people, the entire village works together to take care of the sustainability of the bamboo forest. No pesticides, fertilizers, herbicides or any chemical ingredients are used in the planting, harvesting and manufacturing processes of the bamboo forest.
The government and craft organizations also provide guidance in establishing economic and environmental education, "co-customizing" remuneration with the villagers, and providing guidance in improving craft techniques so that they are able to take on a variety of design orders. Orders are stable and income is stable. Each weaving team is like a small living circle, where families and neighbors cooperate, grow and support each other.
Cleaning Instructions:
It is recommended to soak it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes to disinfect and remove the bamboo smell before first use, and then use it after air drying.
Rinse with clean water after each use and keep it ventilated and dry. It can be used for many years. If black mold spots appear, please discard it or use it as a flower vase.
Directions:
Put an appropriate amount of tea leaves in the bamboo tea strainer, place it on the cup as shown in the picture, and then pour in hot water until it covers the tea leaves in the strainer.
When the time is up, take out the tea strainer and enjoy the hot tea. (It is recommended to prepare a small dish to hold the tea strainer)
Note:
The bamboo tea strainer is entirely handmade, each one is slightly different and is a unique tea strainer.
When you first soak it, a small amount of yellow-green pigment may be released. This is a natural substance in bamboo, so please feel free to use it.
