In this album, Fan Zongpei has a humorous paradigm style with poetic and freehand brushwork. She includes 12 famous songs (Disc1) of Dun Yu-hsien, including four classical representative songs that are collectively called “April Watching Rain,” and many more. There are songs that reflect the style of Taiwan under the Japanese rule period and are adapted into performance music in many different styles and techniques.
Some songs maintain their original style, while others use different tonalities to add modern romance and playfulness. In addition, in Disc2, in particular, to reproduce the small band's compilation and performance methods in the San Francisco era, a retro sensibility was presented, which reappeared in the era of song and dance that was both simple and elegant.
