Vintage plain white montrose-style teacup and scalloped saucer set made by Royal Albert.
Thomas C. Wild bought the Albert Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1895. This factory had been named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Consort. It specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs, and it soon gained a reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets, firmly establishing the Royal Albert name.
The backstamp was in use in the 1960s and 1970s. The cup and saucer as in undamaged condition with small areas of discoloration which could possibly be production flaws. The saucer has some surface marks towards the center. The photographs are a part of the description.
