[Coriander peanut brittle, Perfect New Taiwan Flavor]
As a new Taiwan flavor of peanut brittle, of course, the most common side dish in Taiwan’s night market snacks-CORIANDER, a lot of fresh coriander is mixed into the peanut brittle and roasted, it is very important to know the timing of the pot, so that it can be fried with both coriander and peanuts. Peanut brittle, such a perfect flavor, you only know that you have eaten it, and it is the best flavor when paired with Taiwanese beer.
The peanuts of No. 14 and No. 18 produced locally in Yunlin are mixed up in a golden ratio of taste and aroma. The peanuts are fried with the basic concept of coffee roasted beans until the moisture gradually dries and enters the Mena reaction period. The golden ratio of cane sugar, maltose, soybean oil and sea salt is crispy and non-sticky. The ingredients are natural and simple with delicious authentic Taiwanese flavor.
Why is it called Yunlin Tudobird Formosa Peanut Brittle?
Peanuts have a symbol of "Good things will happen". They are an auspicious offering for the Mid-Autumn Festival, worshiping the Earth God at the end of the year, and worshipping the gods and ancestors during the Chinese New Year. Before the Lunar New Year, it is the peanut production period in Yunlin in winter, and it is also the period when the migratory bird "Northern lapwing" flies from Europe to Taiwan to spend the winter.
Northern lapwing (scientific name: Vanellus vanellus) is a migratory bird that lives between Europe and Asia. It lives and breeds in Central and Eastern Europe every summer, and in winter it comes to Southern Europe and Asia to spend the winter. The farming area in the Central Plains of Taiwan is the main wintering area for the Northern lapwing in Taiwan. They especially like to forage in peanut fields, so they are called "Tudobird" (transliteration of Taiwanese) by local farmers.
This product is a symbiosis of ecology and local economy. We use fine peanuts produced in Yunlin and stir-fry them with sea salt, soybean oil, maltose and cane sugar using the most traditional production technology to make "Yunlin Tudobird Formosa Peanut Brittle", to share with you the delicacy of Formosa.
