Gold, in the color psychology represents supreme power. When closely examined, the radiant hue blinds the vision like the dazzling sun, purifying the soul and inspires creativity. It is precisely due this color's eye-catching property, any atmosphere can become harmonious and radiant with a touch of gold.

Gilding, or fire gilding, is a decorative art with thousands years of history. Due to hand-painted gold carrying an effect similar to how gilding was done in ancient times, currently, the art of hand-painting gold lines is also called gilding. There are many gilding artists in Taiwan, but upon further careful examination it is easy to discern their different approaches to detail. We are honored to have artist Mrs. Zhang Mei Yun here to gild each cup for us in person. Mrs. Zhang breaths life into these gilded flowers using gold and her agile painting techniques, so that each line is simplistic yet alive.
