Ki-ita comes with a small amount of raw walnuts. If you run out of walnuts, please purchase them at the nearby supermarket or bulk food store. The walnut oil dries fast and provides a natural finish. Because it is an all-natural oil, there is no problem if it is ingested. It also increases the durability and water-resistance of the wood.
(For those allergic to walnuts, please refrain from using it.)

The wood scraps left over from the production of Ki-ita end up in our factory’s dust collector. Using a specialized machine to compress the wood chips, they are turned into briquettes which are used as fuel. Low in smoke and odor, the briquettes are perfect for Hokkaido’s long winters as they burn for a long time as well.
