〖Micro Mosaic〗
The precise development of mosaic craftsmanship can be traced back to the Neo-Babylonian era of 2500 BC. Craftsmen at that time already had quite sophisticated mosaic techniques, which were introduced to southern Europe and evolved into the Greek and Roman periods. In the late 18th century, two highly regarded artists, Cesare Aguatti and Giacomo Raffaeli, developed micro-mosaics. The technique involves mixing and heating colored porcelain inserts at a high temperature of over 800 degrees Celsius, cooling them and then cutting them into tiny square bricks. The inlays produced in this way are brighter and richer in color, with a total of more than 10,000 color changes, allowing the collage to be completed with highly artistic works through detailed changes in light and depth.
