In this design we drew our inspiration from the Chinese idiom话中有话, but we decided to put a twist to the idiom and changed the Chinese character from话(word) to 画(painting). Another play of homonyms:)

Sometimes conveys a message
More clearly, precisely…
It pins the emotions down
And captures them in its frame
They are embedded in the pigments, the strokes that brush across the canvas
Permanently
Look deeply and you will find
Unlike words, once spoken
The emotions they carry dilute over time
And soon forgotten
Indeed,
A picture paints a thousand words…"
