Nanbu tekki Katsuyoshi Sato's handmade cast iron kettle horizontal line 1.5L - Teapots & Teacups - Other Metals Brown

Product Description

This tetsubin is handmade by the foundry craftsman Katsuyoshi Sato. The entire manufacturing process is made by a foundry craftsman. The horizontal line pattern is carefully applied by the artist. The inside is not enamel processed. The boiling water will be mellow. Nanbu ironware is baked using the traditional technique called kama-yaki to produce an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "water quality improvement" and makes tea and coffee taste better. The water boiled in Nanbu iron kettle tastes mellow and sweet even when drunk straight. This is due to the effect of iron leaching into the hot water, but in order for the iron to leach out, the inside cannot be enameled or otherwise treated, and rust is liable to occur. Artist Profile: Traditional Craftsman Katsuyoshi Sato He is a master craftsman with more than 50 years of experience. In 2012, he was certified as a traditional craftsman of Nambu ironware. He strives daily to create tetsubin (iron kettles) that people will want to use every day. ※It can be used with IH. Do not use on high heat.
