|What is Tara Project? |
This is a non-governmental organization (NGO) initiated by local Indian social activists and teachers. The main purpose is to improve the problem of illegal child labor in India. In addition to providing job opportunities, reasonable pay, and planning work plans, they also set up a free night school for children who have to work to help their families.
At present, there are about 30 production groups participating in the Tara Project. The products are mainly made up of beautiful handmade jewelry.
