About the artist :
Bambi Lam graduated from the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIED) with a degree in Visual Arts Education. He has since pursued further studies in Printmaking at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Center. He has been awarded various scholarships by the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at HKIED.
In the Bambi Ceiba series, Bambi Lam portrays newborn babies safeguarded by the majestic Ceiba trunk or the gentle Ceiba blossoms. Turning to distant and archaic ideologies, the artist reminds contemporary audiences of the forgotten and discarded nourishments that nature continues to bestow.
