We have dedicated eight years of our lives to searching for iron meteorites around the world. Then, with our partners, we created this amazing fine jewelry.
The Muonionalusta meteorite fell over 100,000 years ago in northern Sweden, above the Arctic Circle, breaking into thousands of pieces upon entering the atmosphere. It is over 4.5 billion years old, 20 million years older than planet Earth, making it the oldest material ever known on our planet.
A meteorite is any body of cosmic origin that has fallen to the ground. These are fragments of large asteroids and planet cores. Muonionalusta is a meteorite classified as fine octahedrite, with each meteorite having a unique composition. There are no two identical meteorites in the world. The patterns on the meteorite are the result of cooling in outer space over billions of years, making each necklace unique.
So, if you are looking for an original gift or a unique and interesting piece to wear, you have found the right object. With every piece, we will send a certificate of authenticity inside our jewelry packaging.
From space with love,
