Gorgeous pair of large German Royal Bonn hand-painted vases with floral motif, late 19th-early 20th century. Made by Franz Anton Melem, these impressive vases stand on a wide rounded leg and have a wide body. The body of the vase is hand-painted with a floral pattern and leaves. The vases are painted in pink, blue, red and yellow tones on ivory ground with more formal patterns drawn around the top edge. Would be great on a mantel, dining table with a bouquet of fresh flowers or a nightstand or coffee table. Royal Bonn is a nineteenth and twentieth century trade name used by Franz Anton Mehlem, who owned pottery in Bonn, Germany, from 1836 to 1931. In 1921, the factory was acquired by the world-famous "Villeroy and Boch". Measures: Height: 38 cm.
