About Sasaki Glass Co., Ltd.:
Toyo Sasaki Glass was developed from the merger of two glass companies, "Toyo" and "Sasaki".
Toyo Glass Co., Ltd. was established in the 11th year of Meiji (AD 1878). The founder, Mr. Shimada, entered the Shinagawa Machine Office established by the Meiji government to study, and obtained the guidance of a master hired by the British at that time, and began to produce a series of glassware. Efforts have been made to spread it to various places in Japan, and a lot of knowledge about glass has been accumulated.
Sasaki Co., Ltd. was established in the 35th year of Meiji (AD 1902). At the beginning, the product categories were mainly oil lamps and lighting fixtures, and the company's popularity was expanded through export sales. In 1982 AD, Crystal Glass was established in Tokyo. factory, expanding its product categories.
Until 2002, the two companies joined hands to establish "Toyo Sasaki Glass Co., Ltd." so far.
Nowadays, most of them are researching and developing environmentally friendly lead-free glass and "Edo Glass" glassware.
